William A. Neumayer, PT, OCS

William A. Neumayer, PT, OCS

As the founder of S.P.O.R.T Physical Therapy Clinic, Bill opened the practice in 1982.

Before moving to Lewiston, he practiced in Los Angeles, CA where he worked with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers Organizations and with other professional athletes. He was Director of Rehabilitation at Merle West Medical Center in Klamath Falls, OR before returning to his hometown of Lewiston.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho and degree in Physical Therapy from the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Bill is a 34-year member of the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2003, Bill obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations and in 2007 he received his Board Certification as an Orthopaedic Specialist. Bill also specializes in hand rehabilitation therapy.

He is active in the Lewis-Clark Community serving on the Board of Directors of the Valley Boys & Girls Club; past President of the Board of Directors for Tri-State Memorial Hospital and currently serves as Chairman of the Tri-Parish Council for the Lewiston Catholic Community.

Bill is married and has 3 children.

Michael Ward, PT

Michael Ward, PT

Michael is a lifetime native of the Lewis-Clark valley. He completed his pre-physical therapy education at Washington State University and received his physical therapy degree in 1984 at the University of Washington. Michael worked as a staff therapist at Latah Care Center in Moscow, Idaho. Before moving back to the Lewiston valley, he worked at Alamo Physical Therapy in San Antonio, Texas, with his mentor in manual therapy, Dr. Stephen Stratton. He joined Bill Neumayer, founder of S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy as a partner in 1992. Michael's clinical experience and expertise, as well as his post graduate studies have centered in general orthopaedics, back and neck care, manual therapy, sports medicine, hand therapy, TMJ and industrial medicine.

In 2003 Michael obtained his Isernhagen Certification for performing FCE's. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1984 and presently serves at the Chairman of the North Central Idaho District Physical Therapy Association. He is also active in his local community and has served on the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, and is presently serving as an Elder at River City Church of Lewiston, Idaho.

His interests and passions involve his faith, family and friends. He enjoys spending time with his wife Debbie and their four children Jeff, Jacque, Stephen and Connor. He looks forward to time spent with his grandchildren Kierra and Kaidin when they are in town. He loves the outdoors and finds time for hunting, fly fishing and skiing.

Kelly Steiger PT, OCS, SCS, CSCS

Kelly Steiger PT, OCS, SCS, CSCS

Kelly Steiger was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho where he graduated from Lewis-Clark State College. He then graduated from Eastern Washington State University School of Physical Therapy in 1993. Kelly joined the staff at S.P.O.R.T Physical Therapy in 1994 and became a partner in 2007. In 2003, Kelly obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. He was Certified in Strength and Conditioning in 2005 and received his Board Certification in Orthopaedics in 2007. In 2010, Kelly passed the Sports Specialty (SCS) exam, and is now board certified in that designation.

Kelly specializes in the rehabilitation of sport-related injuries and has developed strength and conditioning programs for high school and college age athletes.

Kelly and his wife, Renee, have two children, Rye and Rafa, and make their home near Lewiston, Idaho.

Clifford P. Knelsen, PT

Clifford P. Knelsen, PT

Cliff grew up on a dairy farm in Southern Alberta, Canada, and is a graduate of the University of Alberta. Cliff worked as a staff therapist at the Canadian Back Institute in Edmonton, Alberta and spent the following three years at Tillamook County (Oregon) General Hospital where he was promoted to Co-Clinical Supervisor of Physical Therapy.

Cliff has now been a therapist at S.P.O.R.T Physical Therapy since 2002. He has been trained in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of mechanical low back and neck pain, as well as general orthopaedic rehabilitation. In 2003, he obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. Outside of the clinic, Cliff continues to be active in Lewiston's two seasons--Hockey and Golf! Cliff is also the resident handyman always ready to tackle a project. He currently resides in the Lewiston with his wife Polly.

Chris Lee, MPT, CSCS

Chris Lee, MPT

Chris Lee, a Utah native, joined the S.P.O.R.T team after graduation in 2002 from Idaho State University with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. He specializes in Orthopaedics, industrial rehabilitation, and uses technology to educate and treat patients in a variety of settings.

He has worked with patients ranging in age from 8-102 in outpatient orthopaedic, industrial, home health and hospital environments.

In 2003, he obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. In 2005, he obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Chris has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Idaho Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) since 2000.

Chris' interests include family, technology, books, home projects, photography and church service.

Chris is married and has two daughters.

Adrienne M. Carlson, DPT

Adrienne M. Carlson, DPT

Adrienne joined S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy in late 2010. Before receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University, Adrienne graduated from the University of Minnesota at Duluth and received her Master's degree in Exercise and Sport Psychology from the University of Montana at Duluth where she had the opportunity to work with university athletes.

Adrienne, her husband Chet and daughter Aster, enjoy activities such as backpacking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowboarding as well as yoga, volleyball and basketball. Adrienne and her husband enjoy traveling and have visited Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand and Thailand.

Kasey M. Wolf, PTA

Kasey M. Wolf, PTA

Kasey joined the S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy staff in late 2011 as a physical therapist assistant. She was born and raised in the small farming community of Colton, WA. Kasey attended North Idaho College, where she played softball and received her Associates of Arts degree. Following her two years at N.I.C., she transferred to Central Washington University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Kasey completed her post-graduate degree as a physical therapist assistant at Whatcom Community College.

She currently resides in Colton, WA, with her husband, Blake, and their son, Cade. Kasey enjoys running, wakeboarding, four-wheeling, and supporting her local high school sports teams.

Kasey is extremely pleased to be joining this diverse group of physical therapists. She considers it a great privilege to be a part of a team so committed to helping patients reach their greatest potential!
