Meet Our Physical Therapy Staff
William A. Neumayer
As the founder of S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy Clinic, Bill opened the practice in 1982. Before moving to Lewiston, he practiced in Los Angeles, CA where he worked with the Los Angeles Dodgers & Lakers Org. & with other professional athletes. He was Director of Rehabilitation at Merle West Medical Center in Klamath Falls, OR before returning to his hometown Lewiston.
Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of ID & degree in Physical Therapy from the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Bill is a 34 year member of the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2003, Bill obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations & in 2007 he received his Board Certification as an Orthopaedic Specialist. Bill also specializes in hand rehabilitation therapy.
He is active in the Lewis-Clark Community serving on the Board of Directors of the Valley Boys & Girls Club; past President of the Board of Directors for Tri-State Memorial Hospital & currently serves as Chairman of the Tri-Parish Council for the Lewiston Catholic Community. Bill is married & has 3 children.
Michael F. Ward
Michael was born and raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley. He completed his pre-physical therapy education at Washington State University. He received his physical therapy degree in 1984 at the University of Washington. After graduation he worked as a staff therapist at Latah Care Center in Moscow, Idaho until he moved to San Antonio, Texas. While in San Antonio he had the opportunity to work and study under his mentor in manual therapy, Dr. Steven Stratton at Alamo Physical Therapy. Three years after moving back to Lewiston he joined Bill Neumayer, founder of S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy, as a partner in 1992. Michael’s clinical experience and expertise; as well as, his postgraduate studies have centered in general orthopedics, low back and neck care, manual therapy, sports medicine, hand therapy and TMJ. In addition, he has developed and integrated on-site strategies and directives for industrial injury prevention.
In 2003 Michael obtained his Isernhagen Certification for performing FCE’s. He obtained his Board Certification as an Orthopedic Specialist in 2014. His been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1984 and has served as the chairman of the North-Central Idaho District Physical Therapy Association. He is also active in his community and has served on the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, and is presently serving on the leadership board at River City Church of Lewiston, Idaho.
His interests and passions involve his faith in Jesus, family and friends. He loves spending time with his wife Debbie and their four children Jeff, Jacque, Stephen, Connor and his seven grandchildren. He enjoys time in the outdoors camping, hunting, fly fishing, wake surfing and snow skiing.
Kelly A. Steiger
PT, OCS, SCS, CSCS
Kelly Steiger was born & raised in Lewiston, ID where he graduated from Lewis-Clark State College. He then graduated from Eastern Washington State University School of Physical Therapy in 1993. Kelly joined the staff at S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy in 1994 & became a partner in 2007. In 2003, Kelly obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. He was Certified in Strength & Conditioning in 2005 & received his Board Certification in Orthopaedics in 2007. In 2010, Kelly passed the Sports Specialty (SCS) exam, & is now board certified in that designation.
Kelly specializes in the rehabilitation of sport-related injuries & has developed strength & conditioning programs for high school & college age athletes.
Kelly & his wife, Renee, have 2 children, Rye & Rafa, & make their home near Lewiston, ID.
Clifford P. Knelsen
Cliff grew up on a dairy farm in Southern Alberta, Canada & is a graduate of the University of Alberta. Cliff worked as a staff therapist at the Canadian Back Institute in Edmonton, Alberta & spent the following 3 years at Tillamook County (Oregon) General Hospital where he was promoted to Co-Clinical Supervisor of Physical Therapy.
Cliff has now been a Physical therapist at S.P.O.R.T. since 2002. He has been trained in mechanical diagnosis & treatment of mechanical low back & neck pain, as well as general orthopaedic rehabilitation. In 2003, he obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. Outside of the clinic, Cliff continues to be active in Lewiston's 2 seasons; Hockey & Golf! Cliff is also the resident handyman always ready to tackle a project. He currently resides in the Lewiston with his wife Polly.

Christopher J. Lee
MPT, CSCS, CEFE
Chris Lee, a Utah native, joined the S.P.O.R.T. team after graduation in 2002 from Idaho State University with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. He specializes in Orthopaedics, industrial rehabilitation, & uses technology to educate & treat patients in a variety of settings.
He has worked with patients ranging in age from 8-102 in outpatient orthopaedic, industrial, home health & hospital environments.
In 2003, he obtained Isernhagen Certification for performing Functional Capacity Evaluations. In 2005, he obtained his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. He is also certified in Essential Functional Analysis & pre-employment testing development. He became a partner in 2013. Chris has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) & Idaho Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) since 2000.
Chris' interests include family, technology, books, home projects, photography & church service. Chris is married & has 2 daughters.
Kasey M. Wolf
Kasey joined the S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy staff in the Fall of 2011 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She was born and raised in the small farming community of Colton, WA. Kasey attended North Idaho College, where she played softball and received her Associates of Arts degree. Following her two years at North Idaho College, she transferred to Central Washington University, where she continued playing softball for the next 3 years and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Kasey complete her post-graduate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Whatcom Community College.
I enjoy running and spending time with my family. My husband, Blake and our two sons, Cade and Tucker currently reside in Colton, WA. We enjoy the farming life, and being involved in the Community and School of our small town of Colton.
I thoroughly enjoy working with the full spectrum of patients and the challenges and triumphs they each bring. I am pleased to be working with a diverse group of Physical Therapists. I consider it a great privilege to be part of a team so committed to helping patients reach their greatest potential!
Nathan B. Martin
DPT, Cert. MDT
Nate was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho and joined the S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy staff in 2014. He began his undergraduate studies and played baseball at Columbia Basin College and then completed his bachelor’s degree in Sports Science/Pre-Physical Therapy at the University of Idaho. He then received a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2010. Following graduation, Nate moved to Boise, Idaho and worked at an outpatient physical therapy clinic where he also served as the rehab director and clinic administrator.
In 2013, Nate completed post-graduate work and became certified in mechanical diagnosis and treatment (MDT), with an emphasis on spinal rehabilitation. He has also been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Idaho Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) since 2010. Nate is active in the community and serves as a member of the LC Crew, a non-profit organization that fulfills the needs of philanthropic opportunities in the Lewis-Clark Valley.
Outside of the clinic, Nate enjoys most anything sports related, including golf, baseball/softball, football and snowboarding. He also enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Lacey, and their two children, Paisley and Emmett.
Kamie S. Kaltenbaugh
Kamie joined the S.P.O.R.T. team in fall 2014. She was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho where she graduated from Lewiston High School in 2001. Kamie obtained an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from LCSC in 2008. While her husband was stationed in San Diego, Kamie attended San Diego Mesa College where she completed her degree as a PHysical Therapist Assistant in 2010.
After returning to the LC-Valley, Kamie worked in a skilled nursing facility before making the exciting move to S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy.
Kamie currently resides in Clarkston, WA with her husband Jeff and their four children. She loves spending time with her family, being involved in her children's sports and activities and enjoys all the outdoor recreation the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Kamie is passionate about helping people and feels very fortunate and blessed to be a part of such a knowledgeable and caring team of professionals.
Casey L. Ediger
Casey moved to the Lewiston area in November 2015 and joined S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy as a physical therapist assistant. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute-Tucson, Arizona in 2007.
After graduation she moved to Texas and worked in a variety of physical therapy settings, but kept coming back to home health. Casey loves working in home health because she gets to be with the patients one-on-one and truly see what they need to remain functional in their everyday lives. The greatest reward of her job is helping the patient take action and meet their goals.
Outside of work Casey enjoys, what she calls the three R's-Rodeo, Riding and Reading. She also feels the most important things in her life are the three F's-Faith, Family and Friends. Her family includes three children. She has a daughter Brittany in Arizona, a son Alex in Texas and her youngest daughter Brailey lives at home with her.
Robin C. Hardaway,
Robin moved to the LC valley in August of 2016 and joined S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy as a physical therapist assistant. She graduated from Green River Community College-Auburn, WA, in 1988.
Robin has been a PT Assistant for the last 30 years, working mostly in acute care and home health over in the Seattle area. She decided that she had had enough of the rain and traffic and relocated to the LC Valley in search of a sunnier, quieter lifestyle. She enjoys the area very much and feels right at home here.
At S.P.O.R.T. she splits her day between the outpatient clinic and our home health and hospital contracts. She loves the variety this offers and the many different kinds of people she is able to work with.
In her spare time, she enjoys DIY home projects, church activities, spending time with her dogs, and staying in touch with her two college-age kids.
